... The Danish tradition is very much en vogue here: an elf lives behind the small wooden door above the skirting board. During the day he sleeps - so the children don't see him. At night, the elf climbs down the ladder to help Santa in the house. Every day he leaves the children little letters in the wooden box with stories or tasks for the Christmas preparations. The door, ladder and letter box can be customised with colours.
