Deluxe Figure: Jaw Pteranodon - Collecta Figures

Beautifully hand-painted figurine of a seated pteranodon from the Deluxe series by Collecta.

The Pteranodon was, with its wingspan of approximately 7 m, a large flying dinosaur that flew in the air during the Cretaceous period, approximately 86 to 71 million years ago. Between the elongated fourth toe and the hind legs was a flying membrane only a few millimeters thick, which allowed the Pteranodon to fly long distances. The flying lizard's bones were hollow but still very stable. The pteranodon probably mainly ate fish that it caught in flight.

The soft plastic makes this pterosaur an excellent toy for children and allows a special function: The beak can be opened and also closed.< br>
