The velociraptor (otherwise known as “fast thief”) is a genus of small bipedal carnivorous theropod dinosaur. It has powerful jaws carrying around 80 sharp teeth. The velociraptor measured, from head to tail, approximately 1.5 to 2 meters with a height of 75 centimeters. Its weight was around 15 to 20 kilograms. Its hind limbs are equipped with a retractable claw, capable of positioning itself almost vertically to stab the skin of its prey. Its tail, stiffened by bony tendons, helps it balance when it rises to harpoon its prey.
