Horse figurine: Lipizzaner foal - Schleich

Very realistic, this hand-painted plastic figurine is a reproduction of a foal, with a bay brown coat, of the Lipizzaner breed. Originally from Slovenia, this breed, which takes its name from the Slovenian locality of Lipica, was created to supply horses to the prestigious Spanish School of Vienna. Constituting the oldest breed of breeding horse in Europe, it comes from the crossing of Spanish and Arabian horses. The particularity of this breed undoubtedly remains its coat, which is bay at birth, and gradually becomes gray or even white in adulthood. Height of the figurine: approximately 8 cm.
